Welcome to The Firehouse on R
For the month of April, DC Firehouse will not be accepting any bookings.
A piece of history
Hailing from the 1800s, the historic Firehouse on R originally housed the first fully African American Fire company in DC.
With ample sleeping space for up to 10 guests, The Firehouse is an ideal choice for convention attendees and families with kids.
Situated in the hip Shaw neighborhood, it’s an easy walk to The White House, Capitol Hill and other mind-blowing attractions.
Home from home comforts
Nestled in one of DC's most exciting neighborhoods, The Firehouse on R proudly stands with the preserved grandeur of the 1800s, yet reimagined for the 21st century. Able to sleep 10, yet maintaining all the creature comforts any traveler could imagine. It has been completely redesigned with brand new kitchen and bathrooms, not to mention a sexy new palette full of excitement and opulence, provided by one of the planet's most acclaimed designers.
The new design echoes the rich history of the property whilst giving the Firehouse a delicious new spin. The journey continues as light dances through the oversized vintage framed Firehouse windows, accentuating the drama of the 20-foot ceilings.
The subway is close at hand for a speedy way around the city, should that suit your taste.
Whether a flying visit or an extended stay, The Firehouse on R welcomes you to become part of her story and sleep in a piece of history.
